Harvest Bible Chapel

Harvest Bible Chapel is a reformed protestant church started in Rolling Meadows, IL, in the United States, in 1988 by pastor James MacDonald, largely known for his national radio broadcast, Walk in the Word. In the fall of 1988, the church numbered eighteen individuals. The church grew considerably in size until 2000, when it planted its first church in Glen Ellyn, IL. In 2002, the church established Harvest Bible Fellowship, which is now a fellowship of 45 churches (as of March 2010) in the US and abroad that can trace their roots to Harvest Bible Chapel of Rolling Meadows. More than 27,000 worshippers attend Harvest Bible Fellowship Churches each weekend.
The church espouses "Four Pillars" of belief:
*Proclaiming the authority of God's Word without apology. 2 Timothy 4:2
*Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship. John 4:24
*Believing firmly in the power of prayer. Ephesians 6:18
*Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness. Ephesians 6:19-20
Church Plants
As of March 2010, Harvest Bible Fellowship consisted of 45 churches across the United States and Canada, with international churches in Romania (4), Liberia (3), the Caribbean, and Scotland. Many of these church plants currently rent space from either schools, convention centers, or other theaters to hold their services and other events. Some of these churches have acquired buildings and/or land on which to build a permanent location.
