Haripada Dasa

Haripada Dasa(born, Budapest 1965) also known as Laszlo Varga is the chairman of the vegafood group which is a company that delivers vegetarian food to people, and former leader in ISKCON.

Early years, and education
While in high school he was practicing rowing on a professional level, and won several medals including gold in the Hungarian national rowing championships. He also won bronze in the budapest 1500m track race.
He met his future wife while in high school, the were classmates. The married in 1987.
He gained admission to the university of Miskolc in 1984. He studied there for three years as a mechanical engineer.
After completing three years with top academic results, he decided to leave university and moved to Australia with his wife who was pregnant at that time. Their son was born in melbourne in 1989.

As a leader in ISKCON
He came back with his family to Hungary in 1991. Soon He came into contact with the 'Hare Krishas' and joined the International Society for Krishna Concsiousnous.Due to the lack of householder devotees in Hungary he left for Belgium where there was an established community. In 1993 he got initiation from Sivarama Swami and was told by his spiritual master to build a farm community in south-western Hungary. At that time Hungary was still under the influence of the crash of the communist regime, and it was very hard to do anything in Hungary. But still among countless difficulties, relying upon Krisna he built up a farm and installed deities, the grand opening was in 1996 janmashtami.
But due do the growing politics he left the farm in 1999, and went to india, were his son was already attending gurukula.
in 2000 he got the service of opening a big preaching centre in the south Indian city of mangalore.But again politics came, and he left for Hungary yet again.
He stopped working in ISKCON but continues his spiritual practice up to the present day.

Life after ISKCON

In 2001 he started a jewellery business, selling mainly diamonds. He established a company called Radhika jewellery, but the company
went bankrupt due to the lack of customers. Later he started several businesses which were not successful, including seeling antiquities , starting LifeGem.
Finally at the end of 2004 he started selling muffins which he cooked at his kitchen at home. The idea of making a company that delivers vegetarian dishes popped out then.
In march,2005 he started vegafood with hardly any orders in the beginning. the company grew, so in August,2005 he rented a proper kitchen. In June 2006 vegafood moved to an even bigger kitchen. Currently vegafood is the lone delivery service offering more than 20 different dishes, which are all vegetarian.
In the beginning of 2007 he started to work with an MLM company called Neways, which is famous for it's pure products.
