Hans Perk

Hans Perk (born in Amsterdam, Holland on 31 December 1961) is director/producer/animator and currently serves as president and CEO of A. Film L.A., Inc., the US liaison between the companies in the A. Film group.
Hans Perk has worked professionally in animation since 1979. His early credits include being animator, editor and assistant director on the 1985 Academy Award winning short animated film Anna & Bella. He moved to Denmark in 1984 and co-founded A. Film A/S in 1988. Here he animated on several international animated features and directed and animated commercials. For the company Filmforsyningen he co-directed the History of the Wonderful World (in 2 x 26 minutes) in 1992. From 1997 to 2005 Hans Perk was Head of Technology at A. Film A/S but was always involved in the artistic content of its productions, as well. He started A. Film L.A., Inc. in 2008. He is currently slated to direct the pre-school theatrical feature film Miffy: the Movie for a 2012 release.
Hans Perk is editor of a renowned blog on animation history, showing otherwise unknown production documents and informing on A. Film's productions.
