Hans Bielefeld

Hans Bielefeld (born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, November 16, 1971) is a Canadian musician. Hans grew up in the River Heights of Saskatoon through the 1980s and moved to Saskatoon's East side in his teen years. He then started playing guitar in the 1980s sensation, "Smash Alley" who had an international hit with the song "Always on My Mind" which was a tribute to their young bass player Andrew Carlson, who died in a car crash. After playing in several bands through the 1990s, including the Oswalds Walking Connection, Hans had been credited for changing the sound of punk music in Canada through the mid 1990s with his heavy metal influence. Since then, Hans has signed with a major record label and has worked with several of today's top performers including Theresa Sokyrka, Counting Crows guitar tracks for TV and film.
