Han Fook Kwang is currently the editor at large ofThe Straits Times, a Singapore-based broadsheet newspaper. He was formerly the editor of The Straits Times from 2002-2012 He joined The Straits Times as a mid-career journalist in February 1989. He was made Political Editor in January 1995, in charge of political coverage in The Straits Times. Before that he was working as a Administrative Service officer woring on transport polices in the then Ministry of Communications. He graduated in 1975 from the University of Leeds in Mechanical Engineering on a Colombo Plan Scholarship. He has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University via a Singapore Government scholarship in 1983. He is married to Frances Chua, and they have a son, Isaac, and two daughters, Yushan and Yushi.
