Guy Pierre

Guy Pierre is a sculptor living in Laval, Quebec, Canada.
In 1984, Pierre enrolled in the Ottawa School of Art where he studied anatomy, pattern work, and moulding techniques. He studied bronze casting with Donald Liardi at the Alpen School of Art in Ontario and later in France with Martine Vaugel, developing his anatomical skills by way of the clay medium. He became a member of Ottowa's Network of Sculptors, allowing him to open up his art to a larger audience. In June 1994, Pierre won first prize for his sculpture Vent Chaud at the International Sculpture Competition in Davenport, Iowa, and second prize for his work La Caresse.
Pierre's sculptures are to be found in both private and public collections in many countries, including Japan, U.S.A., and Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
