Greg Terhune

Greg Terhune (born on March 21, 1984, in Stuttgart, Germany) is a former American professional soccer player with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Career
Professional
Greg Terhune, a Marshall University men's soccer product, signed a contract with the Columbus Crew of the Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2007.
College
Greg Terhune, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, saw action in seven games at Marshall University in his senior year in 2006 due to injury from a broken ulna bone in his right arm. He posted two shutouts from those games.
In his junior season of 2005, he started all 19 matches for Marshall and posted shutouts in four of the last seven matches, blanking South Carolina, Memphis, Kentucky and FIU. He recorded a career-best eight saves in a shutout of South Carolina and was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 17 following that performance. He was in goal for all but 43:45 of Herd's streak of 479:17 without allowing a goal that season and allowed just one goal in six-game stretch from Oct. 16-Nov. 9, 2005.
Youth and Amateur
Prior to Marshall University, he had the best record in Lawrence North high school history, finishing 18-3 and winning a sectional championship, had a 0.64 GAA in senior year, and earned All-District and All-State honors as senior, All-County player in junior and senior years, All-Conference in junior and senior years, regional champion as junior. He previously played with the West Virginia Chaos of the Premier Development League (PDL) and youth soccer with the Indiana ODP team, and club soccer with Dynamo F.C. and won two state championships. He also lettered in basketball at Lawrence North.
He is currently finishing his law degree and coaches youth soccer with the Scottsdale Blackhawks (Scottsdale, AZ), Arizona Olympic Development Program (ODP), and Indiana Olympic Development Program (ODP).
