Greencore Construction

Greencore Construction is a UK-based business founded in 2013 by Ian Pritchett and Martin Pike. The company designs and builds homes aimed to have lower environmental impact and energy use than conventional homes, both in their construction and operation. The homes are constructed largely using timber, hemp and lime for insulation, with minimal use of steel and concrete; feature photo-voltaic solar panels on the roofs; and do not use gas or oil for heating or other home energy.
The UK Government's Future Homes Standard states that new homes will be expected to produce 31% less carbon emissions from 2021, and between 75-80% less emissions from 2025 in order for the UK to be on track to meet its net zero emissions target by 2050. The UK's Climate Change Committee has recommended that no new homes should be on the gas grid after 2025.
Greencore's development of 25 homes at Springfield Meadows in Oxfordshire has won several awards, including Best Custom Build at the Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards 2022
In January 2022, M&G's Catalyst fund, part of the UK asset manager M&G Investments, acquired a majority stake in Greencore Construction for an undisclosed sum.
Greencore Construction has no connection with Greencore Group plc.
