Grant Crookes (born 26 September 1965 in Penistone, Yorkshire) was a professional footballer who played for Hartlepool United, Darlington F.C. and Willington F.C. He was also a coach at Halifax Town, Wakefield and Bridlington Town. He left as assistant manager at AFC Emley,at the end of the 2009-10 season where he had been working alongside Ian Banks who also left the club at the end of the 2009-10 season. In the 2010-11 season, Ian Banks took over the North East Counties rivals Eccleshill United with Crookes again following him as his assistant. Crookes then moved from the Yorkshire area and in March 2011 joined up with Paul Stoneman as his assistant in the Northern League at West Allotment Celtic. This was the third club for which Crookes and Stoneman had worked together after Bridlington Town and Wakefield.
