He is the author of 'Bhutanese Folktales (From the South and the East)'. He has contributed poems to a couple of international anthologies published in India. He worked as a reporter and Eastern Bhutan Correspondent for Kuensel (Bhutan's oldest newspaper) and then as the editor of Bhutan Times, Bhutan's first private newspaper. On 22 October 2009, he, along with six of his reporters, submitted their resignation to the troubled Bhutan Times citing persistent interference in the editorial decisions by the management.
