Career Gonzalo Martinez de Azagra y de Miota (born 1981) is a Spanish tech entrepreneurship promoter and business angel working as a Principal investor at Samsung Ventures. Gonzalo is currently leading investments in Europe and Israel on behalf of Samsung Ventures. In the past, he co-founded a Spain based startup accelerator called Microwave Ventures to support promising entrepreneurs with seed capital.. Prior to Samsung Ventures, Gonzalo worked for PricewaterhouseCooper's Advisory practice in Strategy, Finance and Process projects for various sectors. Education He graduated from Imperial College in London (United Kingdom) in 2003 with Masters in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Gonzalo completed his Master thesis and final year at Telecom Paris (ENST) as an erasmus student. In 2009, he graduated from the University of London, with London School of Economics as lead college with a BsC in Economics and Management. He also holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Teaching and lecturing Gonzalo has taught undergraduate courses in Strategy & Process at the University of Deusto, La Comercial on behalf of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. On the Graduate level, Gonzalo has lectured in courses at the in EOI (Escuela de Organizacion Industrial) and the University of California, Berkeley. At the University of California, Berkeley, he taught and assisted professors in the areas of Venture Capital, Venture Finance, Corporate Strategy and Leadership Communications. For his contribution to the Berkeley MBA's graduate program Gonzalo received the Outstanding Graduate Instructor award in 2010. Gonzalo has also lectured in Strategy for Samsung's Executive education program at HRDC.
