Gogo Abel Ujile

Gogo Abel Ujile also known as Gogo Ujile (born 9th November, 1977) is a Nigerian Environmentalist and Wildlife enthusiast. In 2010, he founded a community-based organization called Save Andoni Forest Elephant and Ecosystem Initiative to advocate for the conservation and preservation of a declining population of African forest elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis) and other wildlife species found on Andoni Island in the oil-rich Niger Delta.
He has released more than 200 Sea turtle caught by fishermen back to the Atlantic Ocean and trained some fishermen at Oyorokoto; one of the largest fishing settlement in West Africa coast, on how to identify endangered marine species in the area. It is believed that the Andoni Elephant are the only remaining elephant in the oil-rich Niger Delta due oil pollution and lack of environmental best practices in Nigeria. Crude oil pollution is a regular occurrence in the Niger Delta
