Glenn Long

Glenn Long was born in Tasmania, the Island State of Australia. He commenced Classical Piano Lessons with Australian Rosny Children’s Choir, Director - Jennifer Filby. He won many Festivals in Tasmania, and later First Place Awards at the Sydney International Piano Competitions, from a very young Age.
He has also studied Opera under the German Master - Habsburg, who was resident at the German State Opera Company. He toured China in 1975 on a cultural exchange tour arranged by the Australian and Chinese Governments, and performed for Chairman Mao, and his family, and party officials in China. Long has performed with the Tasmanian Opera Company, and later the Australian Opera Company, as a Opera Singer, and been coached by Russell Smith, and Edward Talbot, both English Master Opera performers.
He has performed on the Mike Walsh Show, and was awarded a recording contract with BMG - RCA, and Starway Records in the USA, with over 3 million CD’s of his debut alum 16 Academy Award Winning Songs, performed by Glenn Long, his Piano and Orchestra which was released globally. Followed by 12 other titles that enjoyed wide release across the world. Glenn also has performed extensively across the USA, UK, Asia & Europe. He was most recently the guest artist for Dionne Warwick on her final Australian and New Zealand Tour.
