Gilbert Ott III is the President of New York based indie label Transatlantic Records and a renowned record producer. Ott is responsible for the founding of the groundbreaking label in late 2006 in New York City along with a group of Wall Street investors. He has since signed three bands to his label: One Star Story, Crown Victoria, and Matthew Manning. (1)
The label has gained much industry acclaim for its unique approach to the future of music involving artist contracts, in-house production and cutting edge marketing. His work on "The Empty Room" with Stephen Christian of Anberlin has gained much critical acclaim from the likes of absolutepunk.net, Kings of A&R and many radio stations across the country. In a press release dated January 2nd, 2008 Ott announced the plans of signing four yet-to-be-named artists to the label in the coming months, which he feels to be "incredibly talented and ahead of their time." Personal life Ott is a life long native of New York and currently resides in both Orlando and New York City.
