Gift of life transplant house

Gift of Life Transplant House is a home away from home for persons receiving transplants at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
The house is a 1911 Georgian colonial home and has been housing patients of the clinic since its inception in 1984. Originally, the house was home to the Judd Family, who included Dr. E. Starr Judd, one of the first surgical partners of Drs. Charles and William Mayo in 1907.
The home has amenities such as a 24 hour kitchen for use by its residents, a laundry room, and plenty of places to rest and relax. Favorites among the guests include its two libraries and its magnificent fireplace.
The house offers 48 guest rooms, 45 of which are in the original house.
