Gibril Haddad

Dr. Gibril Fouad Haddad (born 1960) is a Muslim writer and Arabic translator.
Biography
Born in 1960 in Beirut, Lebanon into Sunni Muslim family. Haddad studied French Literature at Columbia University. After studying in Damascus, Syria, from 1997 to 2006, he relocated to Brunei where he currently lives and works as an author and translator.
Haddad is also a former and teacher on "Sunnipath," a Muslim website specializing in religious and spiritual studies. He was listed amongst the inaugural "500 most influential Muslims in the world."
Haddad is a disciple of Nazim al-Qubrusi and is a major contributor to the website Eshaykh.com.
