Ghulam Hasan Khan (born 2 July 1994) is an Hindustani classical musician in the Hindustani music tradition. He belongs to the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana. He is the grandson of late Padma Shri Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan and is the son of Ustad Ghulam Abbas Khan. Early life Born in New Delhi, India, Ghulam Hasan Khan belongs to the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana which owes its allegiance to the Tansen tradition. He was initiated into music at the age of three by his father Ustad Ghulam Abbas Khan, a classical vocalist. He was later trained under the guidance of his grandfather Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan. His father for some time trained him in Mumbai. However, he received his main training from his grandfather Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan initially at his house in New Delhi. Musical career Ghulam Hasan Khan specializes in Khayal style which highlights the systematic "Badhat" of Raga, "Sapat" Taans of full three octaves. Apart from Khayal, he also renders Thumri, Tarana, Ghazal, Geet, Sufi and Bhajan. He gave his first performance at the age of ten, and the following year, 2006, he performed at a concert organised by Poorvi Music Foundation in New Delhi. In June 2007, when the late Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan was invited to perform at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Concert, New Delhi, Ghulam Hasan Khan also joined to perform with him and he was 14 years old. Hariprasad Chaurasia, *Ustad Yunus Husain Khan Memorial Society, "Naad Bhed" (Reality Show) by Spic Macay, *75th Birth Anniversary of Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan. *Khiraaj-E-Aqeedat, a tribute to Ustad Sabri Khan 2016 In 2009, Ghulam Hasan Khan was invited to perform at the Hong Kong University as a young Indian performer. He has also performed in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, China, South Korea. In 2013, he was awarded with the Scholarship in Hindustani Classical Vocal by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of Delhi, NCR. He has released a triple CD of Indian classical music named Dharohar which is based on three generations of Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.
