Ghana Force

The Ghana Force (AKA G-Force) is a group of 4 young musicians, by the names of DJ Doctor J (Jason Mohan), Killa, Fish (Philemon) and MC Master P (Haren Rajwani). Although three of the members originate from the Indian sub-continent, they are based in Ghana, where they were born. From R&B to Hiplife to HipHop, the G-Force blend western sound of hip-hop with traditional African horns, percussion, drums and conga. Having only recently started in January 2006, they are known for their single- the official Ghanna World Cup anthem 'We Go Go! (Ye Be Ko)'. Drawing inspiration from the Ghanaian National Football team, 'The Black Stars' at the World Cup Finals in Germany 2006.
Beginnings
The G-Force is the brainchild of DJ Doctor Jay and Killa, who conceived the idea of a band at age 12 and 13. Their style is heavily influenced by hip hop/R&B, the beats, the rhymes. In December 2005, after a night out with friends, the two decided to rekindle old flames. After 2 hours at a home-studio in the early hours of the morning, the duo came out with, "My One and Only".
Genre Emergence
The Genre G-Force initially began with was hiplife from there the music group began specializing in hip hop music. Although G-Force is dormant, the artists have branched out individually in pursuit of their own musical paths around the globe, and meet in Accra when possible to record singles. Clubs in Germany, Canada and other music nations have featured the sounds of G-Force.
