Geoscope Environmental Laboratories (GEL) is a laboratory in Salisbury, Maryland, that provides environmental analyses on water, soil and air, environmental site assessments, and water/wastewater treatment plant monitoring services. GEL is the first minority-owned state certified environmental laboratory in the United States. Geoscope Environmental Laboratories has four separate laboratories, a metals laboratory, an inorganic chemistry laboratory, an organic chemistry laboratory, and a microbiology laboratory. Geoscope's Environmental Laboratories function as a part of Geoscope's Environmental Problem-Solving Team which has three separate divisions: (1) Geoscope Environmental Laboratories, (2) Geoscope Poultry and Agriculture, and (3) Geoscope Consultations. Community Programs Geoscope Environmental Laboratories hosts events in conjunction with various United Nations organizations, including the United Nations Association, the United Nations Population Fund, and the United Nations Foundation, which address environmental and social development.
