'Georgetown University Television (GUTV) is Georgetown University's student-run campus television station, founded in 1998. The station traditionally broadcasts student shows live weekly during the school year on RCN Channel 60 and on its website, . A slideshow of campus events and information is aired during non-peak hours. In addition to producing and broadcasting student productions and submissions, GUTV sponsors an annual Film Festival each April, where Georgetown student films and shorts are displayed in front of a general audience. GUTV's largest production is the Over The Hilltop video, which includes a 20-minute video of Georgetown's Senior Week and the videotaped and live-edited Commencement ceremonies of each school of Georgetown University. GUTV also produces television shows and films special campus events. Dunja Panic is the General Manager. History GUTV was created (1) to provide students with experience in video production and broadcast journalism, and (2) to provide informative and interesting programming to Georgetown University students, faculty, and staff. The station was approved by Georgetown’s Media Board on December 10, 1998 and began broadcasting on February 24, 1999.
