The GeoBulb is a high-brightness direct replacement LED lamp. The GeoBulb is the same size as a conventional Incandescent light bulb (A19-type), and can be used as a direct replacement in any indoor open fixture. The GeoBulb has a standard, screw-in type Edison base, and is also mercury and lead free. The original GeoBulb was never released to the public. Initial runs of the bulb were only used by industry professionals and a few members of the press. In early 2009, C. Crane Company introduced a new version of this LED light bulb called the GeoBulb II. The Cool White GeoBulb II puts out about 446 lumens. The majority of this light is off the top half of the bulb. The light off the top half of the bulb exceeds that of some 60-watt incandescent bulbs. The GeoBulb II is the same size as a regular incandescent light bulb, and uses only 7.5 Watts. Like the GeoBulb II, the new GeoBulb-3 is UL Listed and FCC approved. Other GeoBulb Products The following GeoBulb branded products serve the same energy efficient and longevity goals as the signature Edison screw-in based GeoBulbs but can be used in alternate fixtures or locations. The GeoBulb 12V Wedge Base LED Light Bulbs are designed for use in outdoor Malibu-type fixtures. These bulbs use 1 watt of power compared to the 4-11 watts of power consumed by standard garden incandescent light bulbs. The GeoBulb LED Under Cabinet Light Bar can be operated on 12VAC or 12VDC. Up to 11 bars can be daisy chained on a single AC adapter. The Geobulb MR16 LED Bulbs are designed to operate in low voltage track lighting. The light output is comparable to 20 Watt, 30 degree beam Halogen bulbs.
