Genourob, which is headquartered in Laval, France is a French medical equipment manufacturer. The company is specialized in providing medical devices dedicated to the analysis of the various ligamentous structures and the rehabilitation of the knee. Mr Stéphane Nouveau currently serves as the company's CEO. History In 2007, Genourob was founded when a team of specialists, including medical professionals and partners from universities started to develop an automated arthrometer dedicated to the analysis of the . Over the next years, the company started developing other medical devices for analyzing other knee ligamentous structures and for knee rehabilitation. In 2015, Genourob was awarded an innovation prize in France for its determination in creating medical devices innovating in the field of patient management for patients suffering from . Arthrometers GNRB The GNRB is an automated arthrometer/laximeter dedicated to the analysis of the . Its technology is based on the famous manual test for diagnosing a ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament, the Lachman Test. Testing of the is done by means of applying an anterior translation on the tibia while maintaining the femur locked in position which results in putting the under stress. While inducing this translation movement, a displacement sensor collects data on the displacement of the tibia resulting in the drawing of compliance curves (=opposite of stiffness curves) . This type of testing is called dynamic testing and allows analysis of the and knee stability. This device is nowadays used in the pre-surgery and post-surgery phase of a patient's medical management and allows objective evaluation of knee stability in addition to the analysis of the . The GNRB is often considered as the successor of the KT-1000 as it offers better precision and reproducibility for ACL and knee stability analysis . ROTAM The ROTAM is an arthrometer/laximeter designed for analyzing the knee peripheral ligamentous structures. This medical device induces medial or lateral rotation on the tibia. Analyzing is done by locking the femur so that the tibia is the only part moving while testing in order to calculate its the degree of rotation. The higher the degree of rotation, the higher the chances are that knee peripheral ligamentous structures of the knee are injured. Distribution Genourob's medical devices can mainly be found in Europe, North America and Asia. France is the country where the GNRB arthrometer (Genourob's first product) is mainly implemented.
