Early Rocking Recordings is a 12", vinyl album by Gene Summers. It was released in Holland in 1981 by Collector Records. It contains 14 tracks that include some of Summers' earliest hits plus a few tracks from the early 1970s.

Williams, Charlie Mendias, Ernest Walker, Eddie Wayne Hill, Joe Donnell, Joel Colbert, Leonard Walters, David (Dave) Martin, Glenn Keener, Tom Morrell, Art McNulty and James Thomas. Vocal background was provided by The Five Masks. Various producers included Huey Meaux, Gene Summers, Jan Records, James McClung, Al Smith, Joseph W. Pitts and Ken Sevier. In 1993, most of the content of this album was re-released on a CD titled "School Of Rock And Roll" and issued on Collector Records CD (#4420) which was produced by Cees Klop.
Artist profile Gene Summers was born in Dallas, Texas and is an American singer/entertainer who has been an active rock music/rockabilly recording artist since the 1950s. Some of his classic recordings include "School Of Rock 'n Roll", "Straight Skirt", "Nervous", "Gotta Lotta That", "Twixteen", "Fancy Dan", "Alabama Shake" and "Big Blue Diamonds". Summers still performs concerts worldwide and he will celebrate his 50th anniversary as a recording artist in 2008. Gene was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 1997 and The Southern Legends Entertainment & Performing Arts Hall of Fame in 2005.
