Gel-Pak, of Hayward, California is a ISO 9001:2008 company residing under Delphon Industries LLC. Gel-Pak has been manufacturing one-of-a-kind gel-coated device carrier products since 1980. The company initially focused on the design and development of gel box technology, but since then has grown acquiring similar companies within the semiconductor industry. Gel-Pak uses a proprietary elastomer designed to provide optimum protection during the shipping and handling, processing, inspection and assembly of sensitive devices. The gel material effectively immobilizes die(s) based on surface contact. Using the surface tension of the gel, devices are held in place even if the shipping container is dropped. Major Product Offerings Gel-Pak products are made from a cross-linked proprietary polymer material referred to as “Gel”. History Gel-Pak started in 1980 out of Hewlett-Packard’s need to securely transport highly fragile beam lead diodes. Since then Gel-Pak has been serving the semiconductor industry with their unique packaging products. Headquartered in Hayward, California Gel-Pak serves customers in a expanding global market. Gel-Pak resides under Delphon Industries LLC which manages the three other divisions, Quik-Pak, UltraTape and TouchMark. The company has offices in Hayward, San Diego, and Salem, Oregon
