Gathera is a proprietary multiprotocol instant messaging application and social network aggregator developed by Esaya, Inc. Gathera is written in and uses Action Script for rendering. Gathera lets you bring all your online accounts that you frequently check together into one place - the IE browser sidebar. This concept is called social network aggregation. Social network aggregation services attempt to organize or simplify a user's social networking experience, although the idea has been satirized by the concept of a "social network aggregator aggregator.". Other programs which aggregate social networks include and Digsby.
