Garush Hambardzumyan

Garush Hambardzumyan (; July 9, 1989 - July 14, 2020) is an Armenian soldier, Major of the Armenian Armed Forces. He was killed by Azerbaijani fire during the July 2020 Armenian-Azerbaijani clashes.
Biography
The president of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian awarded Garush Hambardzumyan with the 2nd degree medal for his services to the motherland.
He was born on July 9, 1989. He graduated from the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University, received the profession of sapper with the military rank of lieutenant. Appointed commander of the engineering platoon of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, after which, in 2015, commander of the engineering platoon of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense.
In 2016, Garush Hambardzumyan was included in the list of the best officers and commanders of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Major Garush Hambardzumyan was killed by a fire fired by the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 14, 2020 in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.
He was buried in Yerablur military pantheon.
By the decree of the president of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, Major Garush Hambardzumyan was posthumously awarded the 2nd Degree Medal for Services to the Motherland.
He was married and had one child.
