Gamer Tonight is an Australian cartoon short made by Ross O'Donovan. It was originally made for Good Game, which appears on ABC Australia. This fictional talk-show is hosted by the fictional character Richard Farkas (voiced by Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson). In every episode Farkas interviews a new gamer stereotype, most of which are exaggarated.
Creation O'Donovan got involved with Good Game after getting in contact with the shows producer Janet Carr. They got him working on a small animated job, where he had to kill off the shows unwanted mascot "P_Nutz the Computer Hacking Ape". He animated the character being blown up by C4 on the popular Counter-Strike map "De_Dust".
O'Donovan was not an official employee of the ABC, so he was also entered their Win The Beast competition, in which he developed the character "Richard Farkas". O'Donovan ended up coming 2nd in the competition, however because the Good Game crew liked his submission so much they asked him to develop a the series Gamer Tonight that would include Richard Farkas as a regular segment on the show.
Characters Richard Farkas Rogue video game designer and host of Gamer Tonight. He has been confirmed to once again be the center of the next animated series in this universe.
Hurth Innerside
Hurth is a 20 something retro gamer. He is extremely sensitive and does not take to well to name calling.
Timothy M. Berium Timothy is a strategy gamer.
Simon Lefton O'Donovan has said that Simon Lefton is not actually a Sim. Rather he is someone suffering from a mental disorder so severe that he has come to believe he is a Sim.
Mark Mann Mark is one of the favourite characters on the show, since his appearance people have quoted his catch pharse "Hold on I got a AWP!". He is a stereotypical first person shooter gamer. O'Donovan has said that he wishes that he could have given Mark Mann more of an intense personality and he plans to redesign him for the DVD and GTL.
Arthur Pillidin Arthur is the shows MMO addict. The character was introduced in the very early stages of the shows development and Ross has since stated that the character background will most probably be altered for future series.

This film will bridge the story into the animated sit-com known only as "GTL". In a podcast interview with O'Donovan, he has stated that the sit-com will be based around a "Gaming LAN cafe" owned by Richard, where all the characters are regulars. This is currently in pre-production stages.
