Gaise

Gaise (stage name), is an artiste who sings in Yoruba, pidgin English and English language. His genre of choice is Afrofusion. His real is Gboluwaga Akinade Ibuoye. He is signed on to the stable of Sanctified Records Ltd.
Education
He had his high school education at King’s College, Lagos. His tertiary education took place at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He graduated with a Second Class Upper degree in Economics. He went into mainstream music in 2010.
Album and music style
Gaise released his debut album, titled GAISEBABA, in August 2011. It met with rave reviews and cemented his place as a deep lyricist with good wordplay and cross generational appeal.
Media hype and awards
His eclectic style has been described as a welcome, novel voice in the industry. The video for his hit song, 'Follow Follow' was nominated for the Best Indigenous Concept, Nigerian Music Video Awards 2011. He won The Scepters Award for New Revelation in 2011, and was also nominated in the African Entertainment Awards, Malayisa for Best Video.
Shows and cameos
His fan base has its largest percentage among the core Yoruba folks whose language is liberally sprinkled in his lyrics. He has shared the stage with Nigeria's A-list acts like Sasha and 2 face Idibia. He has also performed in renowned national shows like the 1st Ekiti Mega Fiesta (December 2011), GLO Laffta Fest, Ado-Ekiti (May 2012), Felabration (October 2011), Cool FM Praise Jam (December 2011), Hip Hop World Award Nominees’ party, and Pepsi Campus Tour.
