G. L. Strytler

Grant Lee Petersen, also known as author G. L. Strytler, is the author of Xtoriez. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in Midland, Texas and Rogers, Arkansas, but recently returned to Utah to attend Snow College to study business management. He has written five books for children and young adults, which was released as an anthology titled Xtoriez in early 2011. Grant Lee enjoys playing any and all sports. He also enjoys movies and has been an extra in several movies filmed in Utah including High School Musical and The World’s Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins, in which he played Binocular Boy, among many, many others. In 2004 he made national news when he paid for a traffic ticket with 8,200 pennies. The stunt was mentioned on CNN as well as radio shows such as Paul Harvey.

Dragons versus Dinosaurs is a children's fantasy adventure novel by G. L. Strytler, first self published in 2008. Dragons versus Dinosaurs features the debate about the existence of dinosaurs and dragons. Although published as part of a series, it is a stand-alone novel.
In November 2010 a short animated video was created by IndiaNIC and distributed by New Hollywood Productions out of Utah. Distribution of this video throughout the world wide web increased sales of the book by tenfold.
By mid 2011, a revised version of Dragons versus Dinosaurs was released as a Kindle e-book as an Adult Edition of Xtoriez, a new series by G. L. Strytler which is intended for a slightly older, young adult audience. The only significant difference is the death of a main character and a slightly alternate ending.
Plot summary
Prince Christopher and Princess Elsie, with the help of Vikings and Dragons, set sail from Scotland toward Asia but stumble instead upon the Americas and Dinosaurs. There they meet Bashra the silver Dragon and the Asian Red Dragon of Happiness. A young caveboy named Og leads the young royalty on a journey through the land of Dinosaurs, as they uncover a plot by the jokester Brass Dragon, Guffaw, to wipe out humans and dinosaurs alike.

Ki is a young Chinese boy with his own Asian Lung Dragon called the Red Dragon of Happiness. Bashra is a rare Scottish silver dragon that learns to serve the young prince and princess. The cave boy and the T-rex throw the novel into an interesting mix of history and mythology. All other dinosaurs abound.
Origins
Three original books were written and sold independently before being released along with two new additions as a new five-part series of stand-alone books titled Adventures With Boys. Dinosaurs versus Dragons was the fifth book in this series. After poor sales, G. L. Strytler changed the series title to Xtoriez in early 2011.
