A funketeer is a person most likely now in his forties who is a avid lover of funk music. Old School Most funketeers are as previously stated in their forties so as much most likely a funketeer still has many of his albums from his youth. being older a lot of funketeers have been able watch as music styles change so most have a love of many music types like Electronica, House, nerdcore, Gangsta rap, and just plainly rap, Reggae. Funketeers and rock African americans and rock haven't ever really merged into a mainstream due to denial of African American influence to rock general dislike of what musical neophytes have done to it turning it into a music style that slowly came to love the idea of Evil over the idea of "one nation under a groove". but most can say that due to they're open love of music not accepted by early 70's W.A.S.P.s (but by their children) they accept rock musicians such as KISS, Led Zepplin, and Twisted Sister. New School New school Funketeers are most likely the children of old School Funketeers or someone who has contributed to the 70's Club Scene. artists such as Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, MC Chris, A tribe called quest, jamiroquai, and Maroon 5 can be seen as funketeers. New School Funketeers and Rap A lot of New School funketeers are divided between the two genres of Rap and Electronica or club due to the fact that rap has lost the idea of global understanding, love, and universal Harmony ; however Electronica and club have lost the idea of celebrating ones imperfections, Rhythm, and Story telling aspect. it can also be noted that both genres rarely feature actual instruments which is a large part of traditional funk music.
