FrndiNeed (pronounced friend in need) is a socially-enabled app that allows users to connect with friends and travel safe. Developed by New Delhi-based tech start-up Smartube Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the app claims to use geolocation tracking within a radius of 2.5 km. Smartube is also the developer of Trendspotters.tv, a lifestyle website focused on trends in fashion, entertainment, mobile technology, and automotives. The app is claimed to have benefited users during the odd-even rule in New Delhi. History FrndiNeed was launched in 2014 by Kunal Kishore Sinha. Sinha is a media industry entrepreneur. He is an alumnus of Delhi Public School. Prior to launching FrndiNeed, Sinha has been the co-founder of Value 360 Communications, a public relations agency.
