The Freedom Day Festival is located in Radcliff, KY on the first Sunday of July each year. The 2008 event will be held on July 6. The event originated in 2004 at 757 S. Woodland Dr. as a Car Show produced by Gloryland Harvest Church. Since then, it has grown to a major event for the city of Radcliff, Ft. Knox, as well as Hardin County. The festivities include a Car Show, Carnival Rides, Free Food, as well as one of the largest Fireworks Show in Hardin County. The 2008 event will add a city-wide parade beginning at Radcliff City Hall and continuing to 757 S. Woodland Drive. 2008 will also be the first year for an evening concert prior to the Fireworks Show. Events start at 3:00pm and will continue until the 10:00pm Fireworks Show. Finally, the 2008 event will also feature a craft show with crafters coming from the Kentucky/Indiana area. What started as a community Car Show in 2004 has blossomed into a festival that brings together the community of Radcliff, the soldiers of Ft. Knox and celebrates the freedom that we all share. Ref.
