Night of the Hurricane (2011)
Night of the Hurricane is a one-off programming block that introduced the first crossover event of the FOX Animated Universe. The three-way crossover includes Family Guy, ' and The Cleveland Show. In the three part episode, it depicts a hurricane which hits the towns of Stoolbend (The Cleveland Show setting), Quahog (Family Guy setting) and Langley Falls (American Dad! setting). Creator Seth MacFarlane said that Kevin Reilly, the entertainment president of the Fox Broadcasting Company, originally pitched the idea for the crossover and brought the idea to the writers, since a crossover of its kind had not been done in a while and Reilly thought "it might be kind of cool." Instead of having the American Dad! characters visit Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, MacFarlane chose to do one central storyline so that each writing staff would not have to write stories for unfamiliar characters. The three-way crossover was aired on October 2, 2011 and received mixed to positive reviews from critics and viewers alike.
The Simpsons Guy (2014)
The Simpsons Guy is the first episode in the thirteenth season of Family Guy as well as a crossover episode with The Simpsons. In the episode, the Griffins stay with The Simpsons after their car is stolen just outside of Springfield. The Griffins eventually get their car back, however Peter Griffin is soon after taken to count as a representative of the Pawtucket Patriot after it is revealed to be an infringement of Duff Beer. The episode was announced by Fox in July 2013 at San Diego Comic Con International. The episode was aired on September 28, 2014 and received positive reviews from critics and viewers alike. It also includes cameo appearances by of ', of Bob's Burgers and Fred Flintstone of The Flintstones.
Simpsorama (2014)
Simpsorama is the upcoming fifth episode on the twenty-sixth season of The Simpsons as well as a crossover episode with Futurama. In the episode, a time capsule containing a sandwich with germs, rabbit's foot and radioactive ooze causes a catastrophe in the future, Bender of the Planet Express crew travels through time to kill Bart in order to stop the mess from happening. Development of the crossover began two days after the announcement of The Simpsons Guy. The episode is scheduled to be released on Fox on November 9, 2014.
