Forest of the Sprites is a two-book fantasy graphic novel by Bahamian artist/writer Lester Ferguson. Originally published in 2005 it is the first book from the two graphic novels. The books were illustrated by Lester Ferguson and inked by American artist Darnel Smith. Ferguson's inspirations for the novel included the Bible, world history, classic Disney animation, and the works of C.S. Lewis. Plot Forest of the Sprites centers on the fate of Swiftwillow & its inhabitants, the once immaculate land was captured & imprisoned by an ancient demon queen Anna-Koo who possessed terrible powers. Similiar to the land of Narnia, Swiftwillow was frozen with snow for 50 years under the queen's enchantment, however; hope was ressurected when a lost & powerful sword belonging to Sprite monarchs was returned to its true wielder. The relic known as: the sword of Tara was used by the Sprites to aid Swiftwillow & its free & diverse people, reclaiming the magical island & defeating the evil queen.
