Forest of Sound is a DIY music promoter based in Leeds founded in 2006 by Chris Woolford and Paul Elam that promotes bands from the ambient, electronica and post-rock genres. Notable acts which they have promoted include Stars of the Lid, Damo Suzuki , Colleen, Triosk, Audrey, Stafrænn Hákon, The Chap, Thee More Shallows, Rose Kemp, Bracken, Fonda 500 and Vessels amongst others. They use Leeds venues such as the Holy Trinity Church and Brudenell Social Club and are well known for their use of posters created by Paul's brother and professional artist Elliot Elam. |
