Floral Park Police Department

Floral Park Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the incorporated village of Floral Park in Long Island, New York. Established in 1918 it currently has approximately 36 sworn members.
In 2003, the Floral Park Police Department responded to approximately 5,500 calls for service, including 969 aided cases, 411 motor vehicle accidents, and 381 assistance calls. Over 18,600 parking summons were issued in 2003, as well as 2,800 summonses for vehicle and traffic violations.



FPPD Headquarters is located at 1 Floral Boulevard Floral Park, N.Y.

Department structure
FPPD patrols an area of approximately 1.5 square miles, with a population of over 16,000 residents. It currently comprises two lieutenants, six sergeants, two detectives and twenty-five police officers, and is commanded by police commissioner Michael Reid.
