FITcon

FITcon is the Florida Institute of Technology's anime convention. Initially a small event held by the Florida Institute of Technology Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy (FITSSFF) in 2001, FITcon has been run by the Florida Tech Anime Club since its creation. FITcon returned from a four year hiatus in 2008, caused by administrative issues.

History
FITcon began as a small science fiction and anime event run by FITSSFF, the science fiction and fantasy group at Florida Tech. The ownership of FITcon was transferred to the Florida Tech Anime Club upon its creation. After chairperson Nicki Walker left FITcon in 2004, administrative issues plagued the small convention, causing its cancellation from 2005-2007. In 2008, FITcon returned once more under the leadership of Brianna Floss.
