Family Friendly Gaming

Family Friendly Gaming is a Christian video game magazine, and website that was founded in March 2005. Family Friendly Gaming was the first ever Christian video game magazine. They claim to have thousands of readers of the magazine and website. Commonly referred to as FFG (the first letter of each word), it has been a lightning rod in the video game industry, discussed on message boards like Gamefaqs.com, and Gamespot FFGU Unioncitation).
Family Friendly Gaming takes what they call a Biblical world view, and applies that to
their reviews, writing style, and wording. This has stirred up controversy in the video game industry, and put them at odds with hardcore gamers, as referenced in the magazines Sound Off section in numerous issues. Reviews like the Motor Storm on the Playstation 3 are a good example.citation.

In 2008 at E3 the editor in chief Paul Bury made an appearance in which Family Friendly Gaming celebrated the shift of the video game industry toward pro-family video games. This was the first year FFG covered an E3 event from Los Angeles.

Originally based out of Federal Way, WA, USA FFG moved to Lonoke, AR, USA in January 2007. Issue #19 of the magazine notes a move to the Memphis, TN area is in the works(August 2008). No official reasons have been given.

Family Friendly Gaming is well known for calling ESRB 'M' rated games -
Macabre, Morbid, and Immature (http://www.familyfriendlygaming.com/Questions-answers.txt).
Working Man Gamer, and RPG Master are two writers for FFG that write in
third person style. The rest of the staff writes in first person style, as referenced in the magazines Sound Off section in numerous issues..
