Quick History Faith No Man (originally called "Sharp Young Men") was the pre-Faith No More band. It was formed of some of the original members from Faith No More. They played some shows, but only have one released recording. It was a "single" as told by the Faith No More band. Six months after forming, Wade Worthington left the band, and was quickly replaced by Roddy Bottum, the keyboardist for Faith No More until More's breakup.
Metamorphosis into Faith No More For all intents and purposes, Faith No Man is actually an early incarnation of Faith No More. In 1982, Mike "The Man" Morris started becoming too demanding of the other members. Rather than firing him, Gould, Bordin, and Bottum decided to quit and form a new band. Gould's roommate at the time suggested they call the new band Faith No More since "The Man" is no more.
