History In 18 October, 2008, the music teacher of St. Stephen's College, Hong Kong introduced the F violin. The instrument was invented because many viola players left the College Orchestra of St. Stephen's College, Hong Kong. Structure The F violin looks exactly like a violin. However, viola strings are installed. F violins sounds like a viola. Complaints have been received by the players from the College Orchestra , pointing out that the C string was too loose to be played and the A string always break while tuning.
