Dr. Ezzeldeen Abu al-Aish is a Palestinian gynaecologist and peace activist living in the Gaza Strip. Al-Aish received his medical training in Israel and is a popular figure in Israel for his regular reporting, on Channel 10, on the medical crisis in the Gaza Strip. On January 16 2009, his house was bombed during the 2008-2009 Israel-Gaza conflict, killing three of his daughters and a niece. Bombing of his home On January 16 2009, during the 2008-2009 Israel-Gaza conflict, Al-Aish's home in the northern Gaza Strip town of Jebaliya was hit by an Israeli tank shell, killing three and wounding two of his eight children. Gazan officials identified Al-Aish's deceased daughters as 22-year-old Bisan, 15-year-old Mayer and 14-year old Aya.
