EXI4JSON (EXI for JSON) is a very efficient data serialization format for exchanging information contained in JSON documents. EXI4JSON is defined by the EXI Working Group within W3C.
As a binary representation of JSON, it serves very well for diverse use cases involving JSON data exchange. Not only that very small JSON (for example, as small as or smaller than several hundred bytes) can further be compacted considerably, but also very large JSON (for example as large as or larger than several hundred mega-bytes) can be compressed very efficiently both in terms of file size and processing efficiency.
