Evil Black Embrace

Evil Black Embrace is a brutal death metal band from São Vicente, São Paulo, Brazil. The band plays a very fast, brutal death metal influenced by Krisiun, Nile, Napalm Death and Cannibal Corpse. The band is also one of few in the world that cover the Mexican band Brujeria. Evil Black Embrace is widely known for their speed, brutality of their sound and lyrics and singing style. It is also notable for having one of the few variant vocalists in death metal.

History
Evil Black Embrace was formed as a heavy metal band in 2000, carried on by Fabrizio. When he got all the members needed, the band began to write most of its riffs and lyrics. After the surprise of having almost every member quit, Fabrizio did not abandon the band's name, inviting Renato Bartkus to write heavier songs, due to their thrash and death metal influences. The project then took a break while Fabrizio became more focused on his work and family and Renato was studying to improve his professional career. This break lasted for six years.

The next part of the band's history is the most prolific, as in 2007 the missing band members joined: Raphael, who came offering a very distinctive bass technique, and Victor Mouta, adding more elaborate drums arrangement. For a brief period, Evil Black Embrace had two guitarists: Fabrizio Loureiro and Victor Miracco, who joined the band right after Renato. With the change of the band's style, Victor felt diverged with the rest of the band, and occasionally left.

Alexandre Lazari joined as the vocalist, replacing Renato, who was no longer available. This is when the band actually started its new era; after a full formation and with a studio of their own, they were able to write new songs based on their previous compositions, elevating the project to an actual band with a renewed spirit.
In the same period, after countless arguments and several changes to nearly completed songs, Evil Black Embrace performed at its first concert. About a week before the gig, vocalist Alexandre Lazari had to leave the band due to health issues, thus leaving the band stranded with a concert to play in a few days.

Renato "Podre" then returned to claim his singer position. At first he offered to sing the band's songs, but it did not fit his vocal style, which was better known for its harsh guttural growling. The band got together and decided it would be enough to play some Brujeria songs. After Renato rejoined, the band became more active and evolved so quickly that in a month it already had designed a website and had an article written about them in the press.
