Evelyn Amo

Evelyn Amo (born February 10, 1978), is an Amsterdam based Urban Contemporary Gospel musician. She is an exceptional worshiper with her hit son "Step By Step". South America's favourite song since 2003.

Personal Life
Born Evelyn Bamfo in Accra, Ghana, Africa, and raised by her grandmother Dorcas Bamfo until she was 8 years. At that young age, she will attend church choir practice and lie on the pews absorbing every sound because she was considered too young to join. Evelyn Amo then joined her mom in Amsterdam were she's lived until now. Evelyn always found comfort in music.
Music Career
Step By Step was the song that broke Evelyn out to the world. She toured for two years after the release. After Evelyn and Berima started a family, she took a maternity leave from music to raise her 4 beautiful kids. Besides that, she found time to do other projects by the side. By supporting her husband Berima Amo and other artists with their concerts, singing with Ghana Community Choir and in conferences around Europe once in a while. She also has several studio albums out in the span of her music ministry. The latest is titled “Great Deliverer”. It was apparent that most of her fans had missed her because of the feedback she got anytime she spoke with them. But i must add it was quit shocking when she dropped everything some thirteen years ago. Especially when she was at the top of her game.
Ministry
In 1996 she became the worship leader in Perez Chapel Amsterdam (formerly Word Miracle Int. Church). She also travelled with Bishop Agyin Asare with his crusades. She moved to Utrecht, Overcomers Bible Church, were she lead the worship department. In 2004 she returned to Amsterdam to become the worship leader of Praise Valley Temple.
