The Η.Ν. chapter of the A.Τ.Ω. Fraternity was originally founded in 1969 at Middle Tennessee State University. It was one of the first national fraternities on the campus. A.Τ .Ω. returned to the campus on March 7th, 1998. The Η.Ν. chapter was recolonized in 1997 after the local fraternity Ζ.Υ.Π. Split with members reforming A Τ Ω and the rest forming Α Σ Φ. Α Σ Φ did not last long but the Η Ν Chapter of A Τ Ω has lasted now for almost 10 years.
Since the recolonization in 1998, the chapter has held a place of distinction at the University. This chapter is bound to the creed and what it stands for, with high standards and service to the community and university. A Τ Ω has grown steadily over the years. Trying not to ruin the connection of brotherhood that has been gained the numbers have not exceeded forty active members.
The A Τ Ω Fraternity was founded in 1865 on September 11th at 114 E. Clay St in Richmond, VA by three men, Otis Allan Glazebrook, Alfred Marshall, and Erskine Mayo Ross. It was formed after the civil war in hopes to bind the north and south together again.
