Ernest Koplowitz Cultural Foundation

The Cultural Foundation "Ernest Koplowitz" (1991- 1999) is a spanish Foundation registered in 1991 by the spanish Ministry of Culture. Created in memory of the patriarch of the saga of “the Koplowitz” and promoter of the present FCC, Ernest Koplowitz Sternberg. For more information follow this link.
History
Creation
The Protectorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture recognized the Cultural Foundation “Ernesto Koplowitz” by means of [http://www.koplowitz.es/certificacion_fundacion/MINISTERIO%20DE%20CULTURA.jpg Ministerial order of 9th of May 1991] (B.O.E., 18-06-91), registered with number 277, folio 26.
Ernest Koplowitz Sternberg was an industrialist of German Jewish origin, born in Silesia when this region still belonged to Germany before World War I. He arrived in Spain during the decade of the 20s and around 1945 acquired a small construction company, Constructions and Repairs, which changed its name to Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. The company, today Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, FCC became a prosperous enterprise even before the death of its foundator in 1962.
Disolution
The Foundation ceased its activities for economic reasons in 1996. Due to the value of the investigations realized in the Foundation, the Ministry of Culture postponed its closure during three years, until the 1st of June 1999, when it was dissolved by means of the corresponding notification to its Governing Patronage.

The members of the Governing Patronage of the Cultural Foundation “Ernest Koplowitz” were the following:
Executive president Ernest Koplowitz, the son.
Honorary presidents: Esther Koplowitz and Alicia Koplowitz (public confirmation).
Vice-president: most excellent Mr. Bartolomé Ribas Ozonas, member of the spanish Royal Pharmaceutical Academy.

Activities
Archaeology
The Cultural Foundation made a generous donation to archeological excavations located in the municipality of Valdepeñas, in Castilla-La Mancha, in the ruins of a celtiberian town of more than 2,500 years of antiquity. For more information follow this link.
Cultural Acts
The Foundation carried out four cultural events, with an average attendance of 500 people, where universal figures gave interesting conferences and lectures, like, among others: Fernando Sánchez Dragó, José Luis Izaguirre or, Carlos Medina de Rebolledo . The above mentioned cultural events helped to promote some new interpreters, poets and composers by means of concerts and recitals, as in the case of Antonio Nieto Huerta, a poet and philosopher unknown in his own country.
Periodic Publications
In 1992 the Foundation “Ernest Koplowitz” initiated the edition of a four-month publication of art titled "Nature and Abstraction", without any commercial advertisements. In many occasions it served as a springboard for new artistst and intellectuals and was praised by all those who had the opportunity to know it. Eight issues had been published until the extintion of the publication in 1996 due to the already mentioned closing of the Foundation in the same year. From an artistic point of view it put special accent on generally considered “perception” as the maximum expression of the human art and intellectual activity.
Book Editions
In 1990 the Foundation published a book about "Unified Knowledge“ titled “I am the one that Exists”, that could be also translated as: “I am the one that IS”.
In January 1992 the Foundation honoured the figure of the patriarch Ernest Koplowitz Sternberg by publishing his first biography “Remembering with my Father”, biographical work in memory of the patriarch of the saga of Koplowitz.
Exhibitions
In 1991 the Foundation inaugurated its first exhibition on the perception of the Universal Laws that are present in the nature. The exhibition was visited by more than 10,000 people and deserved the praises of such illustrious figures as most excellent Mr. John Gyenes, member of the spanish Royal Academy of Arts, and such significant professionals as the professors of the department of Aesthetic at the University of Madrid, who attended in company of all their students.
“Unified Knowledge”
The Cultural Foundation “Ernest Koplowitz”, opened an intense process of investigation on the fundamental problems of the knowledge. During the four sessions of the Agora celebrated in the Foundation a large group of intellectuals worked on the "Principles of the Unified Knowledge".
During the1st and the 2nd sessions of Agoras, the central figure that contributed to the process of distillation of the truth was undoubtedly Doctor Raimón Panikkar, that carried out the greatest part of the critical work respecting the “Principles of the Unified Knowledge”.
Apart from the above mentioned intellectual, the following figures contributed with their criticims to the development of the:"Unified Knowledge” :
-The member of the Royal Spanish Academy, professor of Physical Sciences, Mr. Luis Bru.
-The physicist, professor Fritjof Capra from the University of California, Berkeley, and the author of the well-know book “tao of the physics”.
-The NASA director for searching for intelligent life in the universe, expert in Quantum mechanics and Astrophysics, [http://es. .org/wiki/Juan_P%C3%A9rez_Mercader John Pérez Mercader].
-The investigator in Quantum mechanics, John Hagelin, creator of the Superstring theory on the Unified field theory.
-The atomic physicist of the "Great collider of hadrons" (CERN), assigned to the University of Amsterdam, Joan Roura.
-The intellectuals Fredric Lehrman and Alejandro Cardona.
-The philosophical investigator and writer Jose Luis Lopez Aranguren.
-The philosopher [http://es. .org/wiki/Salvador_P%C3%A1niker Salvador Pániker].
-The writer Jesús Mosterín, professor of Logic and Philosophy of science in the University of Barcelona, titular member of the International Academy of Philosophy and investigator on philosophy of the spanish Superior Council of Scientific Researches.
