Eon Films is an Indian motion picture production and distribution company based in Mumbai as part of the Hindi film industry. The company was founded 2007, and Led by Mohan Das, Mahua Mazumdar and Amrita Dutta, Eon Films is a well established film production company that produces feature films, docu-features, short films, corporate films and commercials with the best crews in the film business.
Having made an impressionable mark starting off with Shunya Communications under which banner they did Daughters of this Century, this film was screened as the inaugural film in the Panorama Section of the International Film Festival of India (1997) at Thiruvananthapuram dedicated to late Smita Patil.
Starring Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Nandita Das, Deepa Sahi, Milind Gunaji, Sulbha Deshpande in
pivotal roles alongwith a host of leading actors from Cinema of West Bengal including Jeet, Debashree Roy, Arjun Chakraborty, Rita Koyral, etc.
In the field of serials, Eon did Agar Aisa Ho To directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and had Faaroque Shaikh, Rajit Kapoor, Renuka Shahane, Harish Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Shagufta Ali and others. Music was by Salil Choudhary. They also did Raag Ras a musical for Doordarshan International tracing the ragas in popular film songs.
In the field of PSA’s, Eon Films did a path-breaking 4-minute public service film on National Integration Main Kaun Hoon with music by Ananda Shankar. This project was made for LSSP(Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad) one of the prestigious wings of Doordarshan.
Initial years
Only at the end of 2009 to cater to middle end segment and to the regional film market. Once floated, their maiden venture Saawariya I Love You in Bhojpuri language was an out an out commercial film and had Rani Chatterjee, Vinnay Anandh, Gourav Ghai, Deepak Dubey, Divya Dwivedi, Aly Khan and others. The film was released on February 4, 2011. Their project Ghulaam (Bhojpuri) is an out an out action packed commercial film with Rani Chatterjee, Vikrant Singh, Shamim Khan, Komal Dhillon, Payel Seth, Aly Khan and others. Fast moving towards completion, it was released in May 2013.
Their mega feature project Strings of Passion(Hindi) that was co-produced was released on 17 January 2014 has Zeenat Aman, Shubh, Avalok Nagpal, Rajesh Sharma, Indrani Halder,
Trishaan and others is making the rounds of various festivals. It got a standing ovation when it was premiered in the Red Carpet category in
the 2nd GIFF -International Film Festival in August 2012 and has won 3 Awards (Best Film / Best Actor / Best Actress) in the National
Category at DIFF 2013 held in February 2013. Till now it has gone to more than 7 international film festivals.
Eon Films next projects on the anvil
Kuch Alag Sa(salt & light) to go on floors. Apart from these, they are doing a couple of short films -Apart from these, they are doing a couple of short films like Muafinaama, , etc. -- that are meant for international short films festivals and is their major focus now.
They are also doing a lot of corporate films and commercials to help their clients communicate more effectively and impressively to improve

Eon Films also take pride in announcing that they have clubbed with Sea Anchor Filmz Bhopal and have announced the 1st Lakecity International
Short Film Festival to be held from June 20-23, 2013. Slated to be the biggest event in the heart of India, LISFF is founded to showcase MP
and Bhopal in particular as a leader in contemporary filmmaking. Breaking all stereotypes, LISFF’s mission is to encourage greater visibility
of quality short films and present, support, recognize and honor indie film makers for the most captivating and innovative short content.
