Enrico Thanhoffer

Enrico Thanhoffer (Munico) (born 24th May 1965) is an Italian architect.
Early Life
Enrico Thanhoffer was born to Bruno Thanhoffer and Lina Lucca in Como, Italy on May 24, 1965. Enrico is a descendant of the Austro-Hungarian noble family.
In 1991 he received his graduation degree in architecture from Milan Polytechnic. Two years later, in 1993 he completed master’s degree at Oikos University.
Work
Enrico Thanhoffer is known by the pseudonym Munico. Two years after obtaining his master’s degree he opened his own art and architecture studio and started working as an architect for the city of Como. He continued in this post till 2005.

He has taken on many projects as an architect. La Cappella Dei Quarzi in Como, Italy, Lugano University Campus in Switzerland, The Villa Condominium in Veleso are some of his major projects. He also presented in International Contemporary Artists vol I.
Thanhoffer is a dedicated painter as well. The most notable feature of his painting is the asymmetric symmetry that calls to mind Hilbert spaces. His paintings have elements of Figurative geometry mixed with the abstract. His paintings are digital in nature as they are realized on a computer. In 2009 his passion for painting lead to the founding of a new artistic movement called Globismo. Globismo means merging the abstract with the figurative which reflects the technique he employs in his paintings.
