Enemy Logic is an Irish metalcore band.
History
Enemy Logic originally formed as Synthetic in December 2002, with three members: Sean Norris on rhythm guitar, Stephen Desmond on lead guitar, and Tony McGinty on bass. In October a drummer, Jason Donahue, joined. In December 2003, vocalist Sinead Collins joined.
Bassist Tony left the band and was replaced by James Cronin in January 2004. The same month, the band decided on the name Windfall.
The band wrote and played shows and competitions in the summer of 2004 as well as appearing in Cork’s Evening Echo newspaper and playing on the RTÉ Saturday morning entertainment show Sattitude.
In December 2004 vocalist Sinead quit the band. They went on a search for a vocalist and recruited Siofra FitzGerald in January 2005. The band started to play a harder style of rock and in January 2006 drummer Jason was replaced with Daniel Corbett. Bassist James also started to add screaming backing vocals to the tracks.
Windfall played many shows in the Munster region in early 2006 which included a successful stint in the Irish Blastbeat Competition where they won the opportunity to record a song for the BlastBeat Volume 4 compilation CD which was released nationwide in May 2006.
The band started to write new material for their debut album in the summer of 2006. They then spent the next year recording and re-recording for an album titled “Solitude” which was never released due to recording and production issues.
In the Autumn of 2007 the band concluded that it wanted to move away from its mellow, rock sound and go in a heavier, more brutal sounding direction. Vocalist Siofra was replaced  and the name was changed to Enemy Logic.
In May 2008 and it was decided to remain as a four piece with bassist James on vocals and drummer Daniel covering backing vocals.With this lineup, the band wrote and recorded their debut album Bones As Armour which was released on August 8 2009.
