Emotions Education

One definition of Emotions education is an activity designed to help people subdue and control the emotional habits that govern our lives. However, one must ask the question, how far subduing and control go, because some emotions are beneficial in human life. In addition, much more detail is required to explain what the aims of emotions education are and how emotions education can be conducted.
Robb goes some way to answering these questions but admits more has to be done. Another problem facing emotions educators is justifying the subject/activity. As Robb points out, much of what is described as emotions education is already taken care of in values education, sex education and drugs education, to give only three examples.
